Walk Detail: When we arrived for the weekend at the Gwern Gof Uchaf campsite we were greeted by some nice pleasant late afternoon sunshine. As the forecast for the rest of the weekend wasn't too promising I was determind to get at least one short walk in so this route seemed perfect.
As it happened the short circuit of Llyn Ogwen provided some truly lovely views, especially from the north side of the lake looking south to Tryfan and the Glyders. While the path was a little unclear on the north side and quite wet in places we still enjoyed ourselves.
Other than the views the exploration of Ogwen Falls below the bridge was interesting and on the way back Lisa spotted a Great Crested Grebe sat on a nest. Despite the relatively short length this still felt like a proper walk and was a good little introduction to the area.
