Walk Detail: After another fairly dreary morning the wind began to pick up in the afternoon and temporarily blew some holes in the clouds allowing the sun to breakthrough. As visibility was quite good I decided to pop back up onto Little Orme to see if I could get better views than the previous day.

The previous day I'd gone up one my own but this time I was accompanied by my father-in-law. For the sake of a bit of variety, and so I could take some initial photos from a different angle, we parked up on the Llandudno side of Little Orme from where it was a straightforward walk up to the top of Conwy Road and then up the right of way to the summit of Little Orme.

Unlike the previous day I made the short detour en route to the subsidary top of Creigiau Rhiwledyn which was marked by a substantial stone cairn topped with a feather belonging to a large seabird. Somewhat frustratingly the sun was now only coming through in small patches but the air clarity was much better than the previous day and in particular I was impressed with the view east to the long line of the Clwydian Range. Further to the north I could also make out some of the coastal towns of the Wirral.

The good impression I had of Little Orme the previous day was reinforced on this little outing and certainly if you are staying in the area a visit to the top is a very worthwhile way of spending an hour or two.
