Walk Detail: This long planned was not only my first trip into real Bronte country but was also because my mum wanted to visit Top Withins.

The walk started well and despite the dull weather Ponden Clough still looked very colorful. Unfortunately we never made it to Top Withins. I still cannot work out how she managed it but as Mum was crossing Middle Moor Clough she managed to fall into and completely immerse herself in a small rock pool. It was a dramatic moment with Lisa nearly going in after her in her eagerness to go to the rescue.

I don't feel too shamed to say that I also found it extremely amusing though poor Mum did not think so as she was completely soaked through. Needless to say we took the quickest route back to the car.
